Who is this guy!??

Hi! I’m Matt, the founder of Matt Knows Comics.

Comics have always been a huge part of my life—from hunting for rare back issues as a kid, to showing my friends the latest superhero twist, to filling entire boxes with my favorite stories and artwork. Over the years, my relationship with comics has grown right along with me. While I once chased every collector’s edition and variant cover, I now find myself drawn just as much (maybe even more!) to the worlds, characters, and creativity that comics deliver.

These days, I consider myself a comic book historian—someone who loves exploring the stories and art behind each issue, learning the context, and sharing the joy and wonder with others, and maybe not surprisingly, how those things impacted the worlds and characters I had come to know and love. I’m fascinated by the way comics reflect the times they're made in, and how they connect generations of fans.

Matt Knows Comics is my way to celebrating that love for comics in a new way: curating boxes that go beyond “collector value,” and instead focus on the excitement, nostalgia, and discovery that first hooked us all. Whether you’re a passionate reader, a lapsed fan, or just curious about this incredible medium, I hope every box inspires you to turn the page—and to keep enjoying comics, just like I do.
